I know I posted about a beautiful Sydney sunrise less than a fortnight ago, but I just can’t help myself. This morning’s was simply sensational. So distracted I was as I walked to the bus stop at 7am, that I nearly walked into oncoming traffic. Not ideal.
While earlier this month I was gushing about the dreamy sherbet pastel sky above Tamarama, today was a dazzling neon rainbow. The sky lit up orange and pink, with inky purple clouds from the previous night’s storms retreating.
A scroll through my Instagram feed told me I wasn’t alone in my awe of Mother Nature’s efforts today. Photo after photo showcased the brilliant display taking place over the ocean at Bondi.
Hey do you know I have a gallery in Bondi? Well…in my Bondi gallery I have prints of some of the best sunrises spanning my 16 year daily morning ritual. Today’s shots are probably gonna end up in the gallery – it was EPIC. The colours this morning were off the charts. I’m always blown away how people walk into my gallery and say ‘Hey that’s not real…Bondi never looks like that…’. Today is evidence that the colours do come. Also, I reckon it’s sad that these days anything that looks good has to be ‘Photoshopped’. Well…this is actually what it looked like down at Bondi Beach at sunrise. Just ask Rachel and Megan in this photo…the colours were jaw-dropping. ::uge
