Postcard from… Guatemala

Christmas looked a lot different this year. It was spent in Antigua Guatemala, a beautiful city in the shadow of a volcano.

We are staying in a spectacular former monestary, steeped in history going back hundreds of years. Our suite has a fireplace, making it feel cosy and festive at night, when the temperature drops significantly.

It even has a mezzanine with a jacuzzi, where we spent a hilarious (and squished) Christmas eve drinking champagne in Santa hats, singing Christmas carols. The guys from room service thought we were a little strange. I don’t see why…

Hope you are all enjoying the holidays, wherever you are in the world. Feliz Navidad!
