If you happen to follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you may remember me shooting around London over the past few months for a special project.
The campaign, called Canon Focus, has been unveiled. Myself and three others were asked to participate in the project, starring in videos about how cameras fit into our lives. I was chosen as ‘The Jetsetter’ for my work as a freelance travel writer and for this blog.
I discuss how taking photographs features in my life, and what I look for in a camera. To me the most important features are connectivity, so I can share amazing pictures on social media on the go, and super-quick functions so that I can quickly capture a moment without standing around fielding with settings.
My ideal camera has manual functions and an automatic setting, so whether I want some creative freedom or just a quick point and shoot, I have both at my fingertips. The cameras from the Canon range that best fit my needs are the PowerShot SX700 HS and EOS700D.
It was great fun filming in London, and I was honoured to be asked to be a part of the Canon campaign. You can find out more about the cameras used in the video on the Canon UK website.
